Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in any stream from a recognized university. Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply, provided they produce proof of passing before the RAS Main Examination.
The RPSC RAS selection process consists of three highly competitive stages:
A screening exam comprising one paper: General Knowledge & General Science. Total 150 questions for 200 marks, with a duration of 3 hours. Negative marking of 1/3rd marks is applicable.
Candidates who clear the prelims cut-off qualify for the Mains. Consists of 4 descriptive papers of 200 marks each: General Studies I, General Studies II, General Studies III, and General Hindi & General English.
A final viva-voce of 100 marks to evaluate candidates' communication skills, leadership, and knowledge of Rajasthani culture and local issues.
