RPSC APO 2026 Overview

RPSC invites online applications for the post of Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO). It is an excellent opportunity for law graduates to work as government prosecutors in subordinate courts across Rajasthan.

Updated Syllabus (New Penal Codes Included)

The RPSC APO 2026 Exam Pattern comprises Law and Language sections. RPSC has officially updated the law syllabus to reflect the newly implemented national criminal laws:

Law Syllabus Paper (150 Marks, 2 Hours):

• Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS) - Replacing IPC
• Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS) - Replacing CrPC
• Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 (BSA) - Replacing Indian Evidence Act
• Rajasthan Local & Special Laws: Arms Act, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act, SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, Probation of Offenders Act, Excise Act.

Language Paper (50 Marks):

• General Hindi (25 Marks): Sandhi, Samas, Muhavare, Synonyms, Grammar corrections.
• General English (25 Marks): Tenses, Active & Passive voice, Direct-Indirect speech, Synonyms & Antonyms.

Qualification & Age Limit

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a professional **Degree in Law (LLB)** from a recognized university (either 3-year or 5-year course).
• Bilingual Knowledge: Candidate must have a working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and familiarity with Rajasthani dialects and social customs.
• Age Limit (As of January 1, 2027): Age must be between **21 and 40 years**. Age relaxations apply for reserved candidates under state government rules.
