Salary Structure & Allowances

Assistant Prosecution Officers are recruited under Pay Level L-11 of the State Government. The monthly remuneration consists of:

  • Probation Period Remuneration: As per Rajasthan rules, candidates undergo a 2-year probation period where they receive a fixed monthly stipend of approximately ₹26,500.
  • Post Probation Salary: After successful completion of probation, they are placed in the L-11 pay scale (₹37,800 - ₹1,19,700 base pay).
  • Gross Salary (Post-Probation): Including DA, HRA, and local allowances, the gross salary is approximately ₹55,000 to ₹62,000 per month.

Selection Methodology

The selection process for RPSC APO 2026 consists of a two-stage examination process. There will be no interview stage for this post, ensuring a fast-track selection process based entirely on exam merit.

Stage 1: Preliminary Exam (Screening)

Objective type exam consisting of Law (70% weightage) and Languages (General Hindi & General English, 30% weightage). Total marks are 150. Duration is 2 hours. Wrong answers carry a negative marking of 1/3rd marks.

Stage 2: Main Exam (Written Descriptive)

Qualified candidates write two descriptive papers: Paper I (Law - 300 marks, 3 hours) and Paper II (Language: General Hindi & General English - 100 marks, 3 hours). The final merit list is prepared strictly based on the main exam scores.
